TrueDefence.
TrueDefence is an elite training solution powered by the industry-leading TrueClays Engine — specifically engineered to bridge the gap between traditional marksmanship and the evolving demands of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) interdiction.
By leveraging high-fidelity ballistics, kinetic modeling and realistic engagement profiles, TrueDefence prepares operators to counter drone threats using both shotgun systems and fragmented rifle ammunition, including 5.56 and other fragmented ballistic platforms.
Operational Training
Built for Modern Threats
Small, fast and unpredictable UAS targets demand a different type of training. TrueDefence gives operators a controlled environment where they can develop timing, lead, visual tracking and shot discipline against realistic drone behavior.
The result is measurable readiness — not theoretical marksmanship.

01 / Pedigree
Taskforce-Informed Development
Developed in collaboration with international UAS taskforces to reflect current frontline tactics, techniques and procedures.
02 / Ballistics
Kinetic Modeling
Built on the TrueClays physics engine, delivering realistic pellet distribution, fragmented projectile behavior and instant feedback on effective engagement.
03 / Threats
Dynamic UAS Libraries
Train against varied UAS profiles with different velocities, altitudes and flight behaviors — from agile multi-rotors to fast fixed-wing targets.
04 / Scenarios
Extreme Scenario Simulation
Prepare for high-pressure engagements around urban areas, restricted zones and critical infrastructure where precision and control are essential.
05 / Ammunition
Adaptive Ballistic Logic
Accounts for different ammunition types including birdshot, buckshot, fragmented rifle rounds and specialised anti-drone ammunition.
06 / Display
Single or Dual-Screen Setups
Supports standard single-screen installations and purpose-built dual-screen setups for overhead engagement training and vertical tracking scenarios.
07 / Training Ground
Build the engagement. Then drill it.
The scenario library covers the threat. The training ground covers the standard. The instructor sets the approach bearing, the altitude, how close the target passes and how fast it flies — and the system flies that presentation, pass after pass, until the engagement is learned rather than guessed.
- Repeatable by design The same line every time, so improvement belongs to the operator and not to the scenario. Open it up when they are ready: direction, altitude, pass distance and speed each vary within limits the instructor sets.
- Any approach, including from behind Bearing is free through the full 360°. A target can arrive unseen behind the position and cross the engagement window on its way out.
- A standard you can write down Closest range, time to the closest point and time in the air are shown while the drill is built, before a round is fired. Set the pass at 40 m and the qualification means the same thing on every system, in every country.
