TrueClays | Remote Coaching

TrueClays Feature

Remote Coaching

Review your own shots with a synced video of yourself — then share a link with a coach anywhere in the world.

See exactly what you did.

Film yourself on a phone while you shoot, and TrueClays lines the video up in perfect sync with the replay — automatically, from the sound of your shots. Each recording is one shot sequence: a single or a double.

Once the video is added you can review it yourself inside the simulator, or share a web link with any coach — the coach just opens it in a browser, with nothing to install.

You only need a free account on cloud.trueclays.com to add and share videos — register on the website first.

Key Advantage

Synced Video Review

The video starts at the moment the clay is thrown and follows the replay's slow motion exactly — when the replay reaches the shot, you see yourself fire at that same instant. Stance, mount, swing and timing, all against the real trajectory.

Two Ways to Use Your Video

Just for you

Review it yourself

Add a video to a recording, then press Play — the replay and your video play together, in sync. No coach needed.

Any coach, anywhere

Export to coach

Add a note about what to look at, then get a QR code to scan with your phone plus a web link that plays in any browser — for any coach, with nothing to install and no login.

Step by Step

Add & Review Your Video

The core flow — everything else builds on this.

1

Sign in (once)

Open Configuration → Shooter Profile → Coaching Panel, enter the e-mail of your cloud.trueclays.com account and press Sign in. The panel shows a code such as TANGO-4821.

On any device, log in to cloud.trueclays.com with the same e-mail — a green banner shows your code. Press Approve, and the simulator signs in within a few seconds.

Sign-in follows your cloud account, so all of your discipline profiles (Trap, Skeet, Sporting…) share the one sign-in. The code is valid 10 minutes — press Sign in again for a fresh one.
2

Film yourself — hold the phone in portrait

Film yourself with a phone while you shoot, held upright in portrait so the whole shooter is in frame — head to muzzle, with your stance, mount and swing all visible. That full-body picture is the part a coach actually needs. Each recording covers one shot sequence — a single or a double — so a short clip per target is all it takes. Start filming before you call for the bird and keep filming until after your last shot at that target.

The shots must be clearly audible. The video is synced to the replay from the sound of your shots, so make sure the phone can hear the simulator audio well — turn the simulator volume up if needed, and avoid talking or loud background noise over the shots. Clear shot sound is the single most important thing for an accurate sync.
Portrait, not landscape. Hold the phone upright and keep your whole body in view. Any phone is fine, and 4K is fine — the server converts the video automatically.
3

Add the video to your recording

Open View Replays, select the target you filmed, and press Add video. The simulator shows a QR code — scan it with the phone you filmed with, pick the clip on the upload page, and upload.

The server then matches the video to the replay automatically. This processing takes a little while — the upload page shows a Processing banner and then Ready. Wait for Ready before you Play or Export, so the synced video is included.

Trim the clip on your phone before uploading. Cutting down to just the call, swing and shots makes the upload smaller and faster — and a tighter clip makes the automatic sync even more reliable.
4

Review it yourself

Back in View Replays, select the recording and press Play. The replay runs and your video plays in a small window beside it, in sync — you see yourself fire exactly as the replay reaches each shot.

Step by Step

Send It to a Coach

Share a link any coach can open in a browser — nothing to install.

1

Add a note for the coach (optional)

In View Replays, select the target and press Export to coach. A box pops up where you can type a note to the coach — tell them what to look at, for example “check my foot position on the second shot” or “why am I always low on the right-hand bird?”

This is the place to ask your question or add context, since the coach just watches the clip in a browser. Press Export to continue, or leave the box empty and press Export to skip it.

Your note is shown right under the video on the page the coach opens, and on your own My Clips list — so you can always see what you asked about each clip.
2

Share the clip

The simulator records the synced replay (with your video), uploads it, and shows a QR code on screen.

Scan the QR with your phone — the clip opens in your phone's browser, where you can watch it and share it by message, e-mail or chat. The web link is also copied to the clipboard. Your coach needs nothing installed and no login — just the link.

The QR is the easy way on a range PC with no e-mail or chat: scan it, then share from your phone. Add your video first so the export includes it — no video? Export still works and shares the replay on its own.

On the Website

My Clips — Saved to Your Account

Every clip you export is kept in your account, so you can manage and re-share them from anywhere.

All your clips, on any device

Log in to cloud.trueclays.com on a phone or computer and open My Clips (under the TrueClays menu). You'll see every clip you've exported, grouped by date, each tagged with its discipline and stand.

Open a clip, copy its link to share again, or delete one — deleting also stops its shared link from working. Filter by discipline or stand to find a clip fast when the list grows.

This is the place to grab a link later from your own computer — no need to be at the simulator.

Built for Shared Machines

Clubs and national teams run many shooters on one simulator — Remote Coaching is designed for exactly that.

  • Sign-in follows the cloud account: each shooter signs in as themselves, and switching shooter switches the account and clips with it.
  • One person's discipline profiles (Trap, Skeet…) share a single sign-in — sign in once, not once per discipline.
  • Use Sign out on machines you don't control, so the next shooter starts clean.

Your Data, Your Choice

Your recordings and videos belong to you. You decide what to keep, what to export, and what to share.

You can remove a shared clip at any time from My Clips, which also stops its link from working.
